Wag It Games Instructor Training Courses not only help instructors who want to become Certified Wag It Games Instructors but any instructor that wants to enhance their skills as a teacher and trainer.

Continuing Education Units Offered:  
Approved by CCPDT to offer 9 CEUs for Certified Pet Dog Trainers
Approved by IAABC to offer 15 CEUs for Animal Behavior Consultants, 6 Observation hours & 6 Hands-On hours

•Two days of training 
•After the seminar participants submit a sample video of themselves teaching in a class setting
•Course Participants are eligible to take the Instructors Certification test at no charge

Course Content

Working with the human portion of the team
•Assessing student goals 
•Group dynamics 
•Using Positive reinforcement with the human portion of the team 
•Teaching approaches for different learning styles 
•Building camaraderie among students 
•Wag It Games in a one hour class 
•Seminar dynamics How to utilize a longer session, keeping teams fresh through a full day seminar

Working with the canine portion of the team
•Clicker Training, Positive reinforcement, Shaping 
•Reading canine body language 
•Canine behavior 
•Building enthusiastic performance 
•Canine stress management 
•Dog/Handler relationship assessment
•The dog’s well being first and foremost

Additionally 
•Wag It Games philosophy and benefits to dog and handler including our Heart Dog Program for disabled dogs 
•Tricks and tips to make classes Fun Fun Fun! 
•Wag It Games Skill divisions, exercises, rules, scoring and equipment and trials 

This course will work extensively in the Shadow Skills and No Need for Speed Obstacle Skills. 
We will also spend time with the  foundation skills needed for Dog Ball and Sniff It.
*Additionally knowledge, experience and skill is needed to become certified in Wag It Games Agility. Dog Ball, Sniff It and Water Skills.
